The State Street Supplier Diversity Initiative seeks to expand the network of suppliers to include more Black-owned businesses. CHA worked to not only build a list of Black-owned suppliers that were “State Street Ready,” but also reviewed their procurement process to identify any barriers that would prevent these businesses from going to bid against large corporations. By diversifying State Street’s supplier base, they will not only support local economies but also drive economic growth for communities that have been historically marginalized.
